Global III-IV S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting
S.M.A.R.T. goals are detailed goals designed to provide clarity to the instructional work needed to be done in order to increase student achievement. S.M.A.R.T. goals expound upon the main goal.
Specific – well defined and clear to everyone: Who? What? Where?
Measurable – determines amount of progress: How will the goal be measured?
Action-Oriented – instructional strategies used to get students to the next level
Results-Oriented – describes desired results: Is the goal consistent with other goals?
Time Bound - states the timeframe for achieving the goal: When will this goal be achieved?
