Parent Welcome Letter

Dear New Millennium Art Academy Parent,

I would like to take this time to welcome you and your child to Millennium Art Academy High School! For the next four years, your child is going to receive a meaningful and intensive education that will help prepare them for the world of college, work, and community. High school is the most important part of your child’s educational journey because how your child performs over the next four years will most likely determine what type of adult life they have down the road. For example, if your child passes their course-work and the required NY state Regents examination they will enter the adult world better equipped with the tools necessary for self-reliance. At MAA, the staff is committed to knowing how your child learns and what your child needs in order to grow academically, artistically, socially, and emotionally. Our teachers, along with the MAA school-support team and community partners, will work diligently to help your child stay positively focused at all times! Finally, at MAA we know that strong parental involvement plays a tremendous role in student academic achievement. That is why we strongly encourage you to always be involved in all aspects of your child’s school experience, whether it’s checking your child’s homework and projects, meeting with your child’s teachers, attending PA meetings and curriculum nights, or visiting your child’s classes. In the end, we know that it takes a village to raise your child! I wish you and your child the best of luck for the upcoming school year!

Sincerely,

Herman Guy
